Internationally-celebrated agrarian activist, essayist and ethnobiologist Gary Nabhan will speak about Agave Culture, biodiversity and resiliency at Agave Festival Marfa, in association with the publication of “Agave Spirits: The Past, Present and Future of Mezcals”, which he co-authored with David Suro Pinera. Nabhan is the author of “The Nature of Desert Nature,” “Food from the Radical Center,” and “Arab/American: Landscape, Culture, and Cuisine in Two Great Deserts”, and is a recipient of the MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, among many other awards.
