We need more bridges & equitable, fruitful collaborations, not more walls above us & pipelines below our feet.

It is becoming the rallying cry of an entire generation: “We need more bridges & equitable, fruitful collaborations, not more walls above us & pipelines below our feet.”

That’s why I am so supportive of the solar wall proposal for the border advanced by poet Homero Aridjis, scholar James Stamey and scientist Vasilis Fthenakis: Homero and James’ initial Solar Wall Proposal; but if you think it is being dismissed as PIE IN THE SKY, look again in The Wall Street Journal.

We are now in dialogue about making the proposal more wildlife friendly, but also including agrivoltaic food production under solar photovoltaic arrays along the border as one more means to provide fresh vegetables to Mexican residents of the borderlands.

For those of you in southern Arizona, stay tuned: it looks like we have a chance to bring thought leaders proposing the solar wall to the border and to Tucson for public presentations during Earth Week in late April.

We will need your help in getting the word out that WE NEED SUCH VISIONS OF RADICAL HOPE AND PRACTICAL VALUE in service to those most marginalized by current administrations!
