We must ask ourselves each day, who we are, and how we can make this place better.

We must ask ourselves each day who we are and how can we best use the little time we have on this earth, not only to make this place a better more equitable place to live in.

But that also means that we must all use our talents for advancing some kind of healing: caring for the ill or handicapped so as to let their gifts recover; restoring wildlands habitats; healing racial conflicts and vanquishing structural racism; recovering rare species and varieties; befriending those who have been marginalized.

Its paying our dues for living on this gorgeous planet… no one is keeping score.

It’s just up to each of us to really do our parts with whatever gifts we have been given… as Rachel Carson did in so many ways over a half century ago.
