This season, pour out all the love you have onto the children nearest to you…

This is a time of the year when we direct much of our love and affection to the children that are dear to us. We should definitely do that, and at the same time do something that ensures a brighter future for all children born in or coming to America as immigrants during their youth.

Currently, predictions are that at least half of this next generation of Americans will die earlier and make less over their lifetimes than their parents currently get by on. It will be far worse in some other countries, in part because fewer people than at any time in the last quarter century control the wealth and natural resources of the world, from water to arable lands.

If disparity is the problem, than doing everything possible to level the playing field is the only way to make America sane and trustworthy again for our children and all others.

This season, pour out all the love you have onto the children nearest to you, but take actions this next month and year to restore some possibility that greater equity can be achieved in time to keep an entire generation of children from being left behind.
