My friend Peter Friederici once wrote in his book Nature’s Restoration that “people do this more & more in many places… tending wild gardens, helping rare species, setting things right. They’re practicing restoration—ecological healing—to bring nature back to health.”
What if you, with your own skill set and value, come to think of yourself as a shaman healer of your own landscape – setting things right again within it among microbes, plants, people and other animals.
What tasks would you begin with? What would you ultimately wish to heal on your own home ground?
